Freeing .
Had I
ruby-cloistered crowns
gloves of silk
and embroidered gowns.
Had I
diamond-set gold rings,
coats of fur
and pearls on fine strings,
Would I
trade riches for life spent
with thy lips
freeing all I then possess.

Good write Fay.
Thank you sincerely dear Orchi.
The days less lusty now? I wouldn't know, cos Fido never lets me have any of those days. lol.

Ah - so very kind of you Andrew to comment with such enthusiasm on my little verse. Am truly grateful for your support.
Would I!
Yes!
No!
Yes!
No!
See what you have gone and done
Ha ha - - yes is the answer of course Suresh - - yes indeed as riches mean nothing to the conquest of love. Thanks so much for your visit and read.
Wanton, absolute wanton from you today.
Leaves me breathlessly begging ... ...more please!
(laughing at tepo's comment here)
Well pon my word Sire I wouldst thou behave - didst thou but know it my mid-name is Wanton yet zeal to trade riches gave proof to tale for naught stands in love's way .......... yes I smiled at tepo's impatience on whether twas Nay or twas Yea.. Thanks so much for your fun-comment.
Better to be free than to possess. I loved this little thought provoker. Someone said, something like, "Doing without possessions is essential to happiness." Yeah, lets all throw away our silly possessions. Great write, Fay. - Phil A. _
Your thoughts on my posting's subject are as always welcome Phil - - so pleased the read opened choices like what and how much to possess - - thanks for the interesting comment.
Another enjoyable Write and read my friend health and strength worth mor than any riches you so aptly describe. Thank you
Oh how I agree that health and happiness come before any riches - so good to get your in-put and thanks for your visit and read my friend.
Beautifully written, I love the use of language!
Glad you enjoyed the archaic vocabulary used in this verse Seren - I find it appeals better in some subjects.
Good write. You/we would always give our riches for loves wonder.
Exactly so Goldy - -- love is priceless - - -- thank you so much for the comment.
Eye.. booty be the best kind of treasure for you can sail the seas, just looking for it!
