It's today's currency
By which, ones paid
Those proficiently lie,
Highest positions, occupy
They lie to your face
They lie over the waves
Audacity, to challenge a lie
In hell you shall fry
Poor soul deluded by false truth
Scrambled brain with lies
Here's a lie, there's a lie,
Everywhere a lie, lie
New truth is a lie
Believe it, it's the truth

I really like this and find it very though provoking. Already it has given me a poem which i will publish soon.
Lies are very much todays news i.e. that popular phrase of 'fake news' is everywhere.
But I wonder how many of us think about the basis of our trust in certain things which are never proven.. things we have accepted as being 'so'.
Yes you really got my juices flowing here. So HUGE thank you.

There was a time when my father told us stories about honesty and integrety, being the pillars of virtue, I regret today they will be discarded as stilts of pathetic losers.

Thanks for sharing SURESH ~ Alas what you say is very true ! Im 35 and in the last 25 years I have seen a seismic shift towards blatent LYING. In 1993 (when I was 10) people generally told the TRUTH but in the 21st C HALF-TRUTHS and UNTRUTHS (Lies) seem to be the NORM. Angela & I share TRUE LOVE so we are honest with each other ~ which is important when youre 11,500 miles apart ! I know lots of engaged & married Couples who lie (and tell half-truths) to each other. What with FALSE NEWS etc I think it can only get worse in the FUTURE ! Angela agrees with me !
