No Longer Loved

 

She said she didn’t love me

And suddenly I was alone

Filled with great misery

Like I had never known

 

I felt very ugly

When she went away

I felt so unappealing

When I couldn’t make her stay

 

I thought I did something wrong

And my pain was my own fault

After she had gone

I was completely lost

 

When she left I cried all the time

But no one could understand

My depression and my fear

That I’d never be loved again

 

My brother knew my pain

And helped me to improve

And with his help I regained

My confidence in others too

 

I saw my ex-love one day

And it brought back memories

Of our love and when she betrayed

The fragile heart in me

    Failure in love can be so hard but be assured all will be well in the end.
