The best time to plant a tree

Andrew Charles Forrest

The best time to plant a tree

Life is so fragile it’s like a piece of liquid silk

We touch it and our dreams all fade away into its milk

Scared to love or speak our minds in case we may offend

We gently gender re-assign so no-one need pretend

We have to learn to love each other... this will not go away

We’re all God’s children in this pool of messed up DNA

Poets only have to sense a seraphs pain to feel bereft

But man will not be happy until he’s the only species left

Chinese proverb

The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago; the next best time to plant a tree is now

Tis said in some circles that Nature has planed
That Names with their Poems agree
And ANDREW FORREST in manner so bland
Has offered an ODE to a TREE !

Thanks for sharing ANDREW ~ it makes sense ! I planted some Trees in my Youth (20 years ago) and now they are much taller than me. From little ACORNS ~ Mighty Oaks do grow ! In these austere days I now only plant FRUIT TREES & BUSHES ~ AMEN
    Blessings & Fruitfulness
Love in the SPIRIT ~ BRIAN & ANGELA 🧡🧡

Tis TRUE that this TREE titled ode is laid down
For from TREES we have made such great steeple
I hope that these WORDS can somehow offer GOWN
to us TREES for in this ODE the trees are the PEOPLE

      Thanks and blessings

As Neville said, seamlessly writ. We are scared sh.. of politically incorrect that it's stifling our expressive self, both harmless but even more the truly disturbed.
My trees all turned out to be vines, they grew too fast, and left the yard, but the roots are still my responsibility. Good subject to compose.
      Thnx

Thanks Suresh our trees have outgrown us too
        and I'm glad they did
They teach me so much these days and they keep me young

Very good and very true write Andrew, man is destroying our beautiful world and those who can do something about it do nothing as there is nothing in it for them.
