Thoughts In Outer Space
I go to mars quite often
And enjoy thinking with others there
School classrooms are no option
As they’re boring we declare
Gravity is no problem
And we discuss many things
With no teachers bossing
And where we do some wondering
Some say we’re space cowboys
With a gift for higher thought
And space we enjoy
Though others think we’re lost
When we see our space friends
Our concerns are much the same
With the classrooms where we’ve been
All rote memory of facts and names
Free to fly as a bird
But with no need to land
Vast subjects keep us stirred
And we try to understand
