Bananas in bowl
yellow skins slowly turn brown
no sun tan lotion.

Aw thanks - you can't beat a banana unless you duffer from hyperkalemia. Loved DD - will look in.

      • Lorna

        Does hyperkalemia make you "duffer"?

Now you don't see those greens evey day Michael
I imagine this is a piece the camera does not do justice to it looks very imposing and imressive
Great work again in both respects

It's one of my smaller works and does look better 'in the flesh'. It's still with me and I'm surprised it hasn't sold - other lesser works have long since gone.

I love the daft little poem. But - and this is heresy because your paintings are amazing always - but I detest squishy brown bananas and that's what this painting is of (yes I know bad sentence ending) - up with which I shall not put. Perhaps there are more of us out here than you know and that's why it isn't selling.......... overripe banana phobia.

              • Michael Edwards

Been painting outside in Leicester University Botanic Garden today - hot sun - I'm now looking like a ripe banana - hope I'm not squishy.

As long as you don't smell like one........ Phew...............

Hahaha, love it! Feels like my nose, recovering from surgery. No sun for me

                  • Michael Edwards

In the sun - nose damaged
Out of the sun - lack of vitamin D
Take you pick (so to speak)

I don't know what the H*** everybody is talking about ...... OH! I get it - jibber jabber.

                    • Michael Edwards

Nor do I - I was lost even when I wrote the ditty - is there no hope?
