Psalm 34 v.1-10

I will bless the LORD at all times
Throughout life's seasons and rhymes
His praise shall continually be
In my mouth here constantly
My soul in the LORD shall make boast
Tell His name from coast to coast
The humble shall hear, and they shall
Be glad, know that all is well
O magnify the LORD with me
Let us exalt His name, see
Join together in melody
Expressing His praises free
I sought the LORD, and He heard me
And delivered me, I be
Free from all my fears, He rescued
Me, and with me grace endued
Looking to Him, faces lightened
Radiant, visage brightened
And not ashamed, but confident
Help unto us He has sent
I a poor man cried, the LORD heard
Saved me, in Him I assured
Brought by Him from all my troubles
He knew my wholehearted calls
The angel of the LORD camps round
Those who fear Him, holy ground
So it be, and He delivers
Graces on us He confers
O taste and see that the LORD is
Good, blessed are they, true is this
They who trust in Him, O Him fear
He will provide, He is near
There no lack to them that Him fear
They shall know His presence dear
They shall not lack any good thing
Unto them He shall so bring
All they need, so we provided
As His hand has us guided
Seek the LORD, seek Him for ever
He shall forsake us never

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 8.7.8.7. 8.7.8.7. metre. King David did write it as an answer to prayer, after being saved from his enemies. It can also be set to another tune with 4 lines per stanza. Pity I had the original hymn at my wedding to KP, along with 'Fight the good fight', but there ya go!
