Signor
Hey friend
Would you accept these five Cohibas
For a ride into town?
Si signor
For a cup of coffee and a plate of beans?
Si signor
For a night with your wife?
Si
For the hand of your daughter?
Si signor
You drive a hard bargain amigo
No signor
I drive a 1952 Chevrolet but we have to eat

Ahhh Cuba eh? Heavenly Havannah.
Thanks for the big smile.
my very sincere pleasure.... Cuba is an amazing country, I consider myself fortunate to have been twice before it eventually gets its heart and soul torn from it..... Neville
Well said this telling message . Seems easy exchange for food on the table in places like Cuba yet when humans have no other choice than life on the poverty line such bargains are very hard driven- - serious wit comes to the fore Nev. methinks in all your uniquely informative writing............. Fay
Why thank you Fay.. a double delight today, firstly, I was not expecting you to be around today and secondly for such an insightful and otherwise encouraging set of comments..... Neville
I was around, of course! A fine write N.
A hefty big thank you for being a round, I would much rather that, than you being a square... cheers, Neville
I don't want to bring everybody down and be rotten, but:
Isn't it a pity that those who can afford it, bargain for pennies with those that need them - AHHHH human nature.
--- but the poem did bring a smile
it is a sad fact that often, that is the case... at least you could raise a smile , as well as an eyebrow... cheers... Neville
Fine write Neville which bought a smile to my face but the serious undertones had me thinking as well. It is such a shame that in this day and age there are still people struggling to live.
thank you my friend, the double or rather contrasting effect these words had on you is exactly what I had hoped might result from them.... I fear that there will always be those much less fortunate than others.... Neville
Brilliant, loving this catch up.
How very bloomin kind of ya Dan.... Cheers mate.. Neville
