Consequently it will never run out ~ and it is
Easy to recycle. It is an essential METAL for Modern
Technology because its Properties can easily be modified
By ALLOYING to form STEEL. TUNGSTEN makes it
HARDER ~ Chromium makes it Stainless and
COBALT improves its Magnetic properties !

Out of the 118 known Chemical Elements
91 (about 75%) are classified as METALS. Only
One is liquid at ROOM TEMPERATURE ~ MERCURY
All Metals conduct Heat & Electricity because
Their structure contains FREE ELECTRONS

Many Metals are are found in the Home
Silver ~ Gold ~ Copper ~ Aluminium and Lead
Used for Jewelry ~ Pots and Pans ~ Aluminium Foil
Lead in roofing. Mercury is found in Thermometers
And Barometers. METALS are everywhere !

I like titanium.
Still, my favorite is two-tone.
I also like brushed stainless steel,
but I do not like gold-plated.
I suppose maybe I like other metals,
Just as I have-stated.
Still, gold is overall,
my number one rated.

soothing the senses
nothing like
heavy metal.

Something of COPPER that like
Id like to have a Copper Bike !
Copper roofs I like to see
Cos they go green with VERDIGRIS
Its nothing IRISH I should state
CO2 forms COPPER CARBONATE !
COPPER Jewellery looks quite bold
I afford it big cos its not GOLD !
MADDONNA was a real Show Stopper
Dressed from Head to Toe in Shiney COPPER !
Copper Coins look real COOL
Theyll be phased out cos that the rule
No FARTHINGS or the THREEPENNY BIT
And that will be the end of it
BY TWENTY FIFTY : Without doubt
All the COPPER will run out !

Hello Brian and Angela,
I enjoyed this poem. It was very interesting to read about the metals. I particularly liked the "Copper Bike". Also, I enjoyed the lines: Chromium makes it [steel] Stainless and / COBALT improves its Magnetic properties! Sounds fascinating. In particular, though, I admire the lines related to copper. As mentioned above, I really liked the "copper bike". I also enjoyed the following lines: "Copper roofs I like to see / Cos they go green with Verdigris. These are such fun, rich lines. Thank you!
