Chasing After Tomorrow

Gino

Chasing after tomorrow,
for all the gold and glitter
that life has to offer...

On selfish desires,
we cross family and friends
to reach for that golden dream...

Then when a day comes,
and we fall into all the pieces
that no one can count...

We seek those few
we stepped over to mend
our broken peace in the days
that count...

We can miss so many good times if all we want is to chase that dream without caring for those we pass. Good write.

Yes, we overlook those familiars in a rush of chasing dreams. But our humanity allows us to accept thats just what they will do in same circumstance.
We are there to repair each other and hope for wisdoms growth when each other fall.

      Very enjoyable observational piece.
