Trooper In Wait
Positioned there he was
A very patient one indeed
At his favorite hiding place
Where motorists liked to speed
Many saw him too late
And cursed at him real good
As they hit their brakes
And pulled over as they should
Many didn’t like him much
When he clocked them with his gun
Whether cars or diesel trucks
A ticket was costly to everyone
The drivers that often speeded
Eventually paid the price
With a ticket that they needed
To save their very life

Ah they can be sneaky - a long time now since I got a ticket - thanks to speed restriction and cruise control - and it takes longer to make a long journey and of course adds to traffic congestion especially on the motorways - BUT saves lives.
Thanks, Michael. As I've gotten a little older, I drive slower too. I don't get the same adrenaline rush that i once did, and driving the speed limit is much easier. Tickets are way too expensive, and a ticket or two can make insurance really expensive.
A fine write w c.
