What is it about it?
It is another jigsaw,
So enjoyable to do.
But that picture
Emerging before me
Draws me into it,
It captivates me.
The mind of the artist
Pulls me,
Pulls me into her world,
Her world of fantasy
Which intrigues me.
The puzzle is completed
Only to leave behind
That puzzle in my soul.
What is it about this picture?
This picture that has captivated me,
Captivated me into the mind,
The mind of the artist.

- Comment from author about the poem: The picture is called 'Pretty' by American artist Nene Thomas who creates Fantasy Art. I bought a jigsaw of this artwork and was pulled into her work, which I will have to explore.

A fine write Gold. I would want to keep jigsaws - mount them, etc - all that work dismantled in a few seconds, having spent hours on it.
I am going to mount this one, it will be the first one I have mounted.
That means we'll never do that particular jigsaw again, unless we dis-mount it. Sounds like a horse! But here's plenty more jigsaws to do.
the feeling of being captivated you describe so well is a relatively familiar sensation I have experienced myself on a few occasions....it is otherwise a most difficult sensation to convey or explain methinks... poets do it best, maybe ..... Neville
Thank you Neville, yes it happens so often, especially with music and art in my case, it was the art within the jigsaw that captivated me, although I did enjoy doing the jigsaw.
as long as you enjoy it, keep doing it, I say..... Neville
Were you as captivated by the picture on the puzzle box?
Not quite, I thought it would be an interesting puzzle to do but I was captivated as I was doing it.
Hi Goldfinch60,
An excellent poem.
I must say too what a beautiful picture too. Good luck with completing this jigsaw.
Keep writing Fine B
Thank you FineB, it is completed and this one I am going to mount and put on a wall in the house.
Yes, from time to time, like Alice, we all want to escape and imagine being a part of your beautiful jigsaw, and then have you vocalize - if only the painting was without the intrusion, HA!
I join the chorus above
GRAZIE UNCLE ANDY ! Angela & I love jiggies and doing them together ~ that pleasure will have to wait til NOVEMBER (Boo Hoo !) Vesti di Dame ~ always look (and feel !) much more exciting than Vesti di Uomi and the Ladies in the Painting are as beautiful as the Peacock. Im not a male cross~dresser but I dont castigate those that are ! Loved the whole presentation ~ Thanks for caring !
Blesings & Peace & Love to You & Joyce
Yours as always ANGELA & BRIAN 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
I like the way you draw us in with your description. You need an artistic sense to allow yourself to be drawn in. Keep looking
