Countless Forgiveness

Nafis Light

Could you forgive me
of the past mistakes of mine
up till this very day...and future
no matter the hurt and the heartbreak?
Together is what we wanted to be...
Like it or not, we are meant to be,
Even in such times of turbulence.
Silence may be golden, but...
...so is our love towards each other.

Find the love and the heart to forgive
of all there is...believe in Love;
Relive the moments of our love,
Give Love...radiate Love;
In Love we find Life...
Visiting the places we used to go;
Eating the fruits and the nectar of our grove.
Night or day bears no difference,
Every moment with you brings such...
...Sweet Summer of Love...
...Sensations I couldn't ever forget.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I made this one due to listening to a ballad about a someone whose lover passed away, and is lost ever since. It might not and most probably unrelated to me because I don't have 'that' person...not yet.

    Does love need to be asked to forgive?

    • Nafis Light

      Nope, because it doesn't necessarily mean that the other person will truly mean it.

      Back in the day, I did attend or I was involved in some group talks on 'Forgiveness'...and Love is often mentioned as in it is the key but also willingness to truly forgive.
      Not needed to be asked (Love) to forgive, but to give (directly or indirectly)...yes.
      These are based on certain methods I tried, experiences, and some talks I attended.

      The person in the poem is desperate, and that's why he's begging (asking) for it.

      True love is so powerful that anything that happens within that relationship would not need forgiveness.
      (Unless in my case I was late bringing my wife up her morning cup of tea.)
