When I Worked At Tescos

Leisa Niamh

When I worked at Tescos

and drove a brown Fiesta

my life it seemed much simpler

and I the family jester,

could treat the kids

with a finger of fudge

and the wife a mills n boon

wet holidays in a caravan

and fry ups at noon

Now they want the sweet shop

to run it as their own

and the wife

she's up and left,

with her trainer

named Tyrone.

Now I have the fast car

and take  holidays in the sun,

but I dream

of simpler days...

when things were just more fun!

Thank you Andrew. Life was certainly not as complicated back then and people seemed to be happy with much less. Happy days.

      Hello Leisa,

      A super poem.

You know sometimes shopping in Tesco's can be fun its a lot cheaper than Sainsbury's.

      Keep writing
