Tune: Wem In Leidenstagen
('Glory be to Jesus')
*******
Meditate some moments
Here sense God's presence
His Spirit still biding
In hearts residing
Draw of water's fountain
From river within
'Tis the Spirit dwelling
Refreshing each thing
All that is pure, holy
And of goodness be
What of Christ in me be
Lasts eternally
Not world's ways, vanity
They not true Light see
Having not dimension
Of Christ, God's true Son
But for your grace go I
Aimless by and by
No merits of my own
Have I to atone
Yet I trust completely
Christ has saved e'en me
Offer of salvation
To all, each nation

Orchidee, we dont share the same appreciation of what god is but i do share how our god motivates us both here in your words.
Thanks dusk.
I can see the sense of the first two stanzas but as you now know Christianity is uncertain in my mind.
Thanks Gold - I understand.
A gem of a write Orchidee. My brother leans with those who criticize Pope Francis for suggesting that all religions, at their core, seek the one true God. Perhaps it’s just a “profitable pause” that is needed. A pause where one will encounter the Holy Spirit; a pause that will eventually bring many people into His fold of eternal salvation.
Thanks Gary. Maybe a 'pause' for some to discover that all roads/all religions do not lead to God? I don't know the Pope's views on it myself.
I enjoyed these words.... and I always try to squeeze in two seated meditation sessions each day.... Neville
Thanks N. A spot of 'Ommm'? Maybe more profitable than that?!
I tend to ching hon... N
Daily meditation has been my stronghold for many moons now - a good read Orchi.
