Wneries in the North Island : which has
A sub-tropical climate. RUTH & I ........
Have enjoyed some of the Wine Trails
And have found all the Wines : excellent !
The grapes are now being Harvested &
Pressed ! We hope to visit some Southern Vineyards !

MY PAPA is a Spanish Wine Merchant : based in LONDON
specialising in RIOJA WINES. He has Vineyards in the RIOJA
REGION of SPAIN : which are managed by my Brother JUAN.
He is coming to Auckland on Tuesday to promote RIOJA
WINES and also visit some of local VINEYARDS ! The local
Vitners have said He will be very welcome provided he brings
some bottles of RIOJA. Some cases for Talks & Tastings (with
N Z Cheese !) have already arrived and are in bond at the DOCKS !
VITNERS WORLDWIDE have a mutual respect ofr each other and

Any words about wine are comforting.
I needed some white wine a couple of days ago so I went and got half a case, two Italian and four New Zealand.
THANKS UNCLE ANDY : As you are aware Wine Used in moderation aids digestion as well as being excellent complement to Good Food & Convivial Company. Ruth & I enjoy wine but never over indulge and are NEVER DRUNK which is unseemly for well bred Young Ladies ! My MAMA & PAPA are arriving on Tuesday (I speak to them on SKYPE regularly but havent seen tem for nearly a Year !). My PAPA is scheduled to give some Promotional Talks on Rioja Wines (popular in NZ because of their full bodiness) and visit some of the Vineyards ! The local Vitners have said *He will be very welcome : provided he brings a few bottles of RIOJA !" Good choice of Wine Due Italiano e Quatro Nueva Zelanda ! The MARLBOROUGH WHITES are exceptional : Being a Wine Merchants Daughter I have 25 years experience of Wine Tasting. BRIAN could not believe his Good Fortune when I told Him who my Papa was !

A lovely sortéé into the New Zealand different wines and a bit of their history - - your words take me back to the time I was first allowed to taste wine and ugh - - was it sour to my young palate......now though I enjoy the uplift of one glass with an evening meal and of course I have supped N.Z. wines too. A refreshing read dear duo.
Thanks FAY for us WINE is always to ameliiorate a Meal or to enjoy with CHEESES at a C& W Party. I was brought up with RIOJA from about the Age of 6 because that is our Family Wine. When we are in NZ we love to sample the Wines and the NZ whites especially are so smooth & crisp. WE both like NZ Rose with NZ Lamb because both have such a delicate FLAVOUR ! To each their OWN. When we go to a Dinner Party : we always take a Bottle (or two) but we always *drink* the Hosts choice of Wine to complement each course : and try to learn from it ! We make lots of NOTES : I because my Dad is a VINTNER and BRIAN because He teaches the Chemistry of the Wine making process : A Black Art indeed !
