My Muse

SerenWise

Your love inspires my gilded words

My metaphors and silken poems,

The beating heart beneath your breast

Is the bubbling spring that nourishes

My many rivers of glistening art,

You are the source - the place it starts.

To hear your voice after an absence

Of chilling silence, plagued with tears,

Is like unto the first fresh gulp of water

To parched man's throat, in many years.

I want to spend forever entwined,

Counting endless colours in your eyes;

Catching silver hairs with my fingertips

Like the precious threads of memory

And the sighs escaping from your lips.

I'll kiss both your frown and laughter lines,

Though your beauty renders me tongue-tied

I'll murmur into your cheek-bone hollow,

How I would give you my every tomorrow,

And insert a word of love in every kiss

My darling muse, you'll find no end

To my enduring soul-strung bliss.

Your muse brings words to your page and love to your heart.

someone somewhere is gonna be tickled pink & blushing scarlet...

I think your muse may well be a red herring... I hope so.. be happy.
