Dead to love

Aa Harvey

Dead To Love

I am the heartless, empty being.

Incapable of love, incapable of feeling.

Incapable of trust, incapable of healing,

This dead black heart.

Love to me is just a distant memory.

Something I did once, at least that’s what I think;

But to me love was phenomenal,

To her it was just a word.

To me no love is possible,

After falling in love with her.

Only hurt can I now feel.

That is when I can feel anything at all.

    When love is a two way emotion i.e. coming right back at you with the same energy as you are giving THEN you know romantic love. One way love is adoration. However, there is much more to 'love' than 'romantic love'. Life teaches us this to be true.

      Thank you. At the time I thought it was two-way love, but later you realise that it is not. I loved her more than she loved me. I've always loved more than they love me, so I guess I have never really had a real love.

      Peace, love and empathy.
