Spirit, shine, come fill my heart

My life, from me ne'er depart

Empower me to witness

Evangelise, others bless

He given for mission sure

That all be saved evermore

 

Help us in the Spirit's flow

His way to go, him to know

Enabling us, not our power

But His power every hour

So alive, proclaim boldly

Of Christ, that Him all may see

 

Not to quench Him nor Him grieve

Trust to Him fully believe

Not to quench through fear or fret

He will come to our help yet

Not to grieve through anger, rage

But His peace at every stage

 

Christ' works still on earth be done

Spirit, come, inspire each one

As in days of old, Acts told

Still same calibre and mould

Hope of glory, Christ within

Us, His Spirit guards from sin

                  THANKS UNCLE STEVE ~ Gone Midnight ~ No PUMPKIN COACH ~ walking home again ! Love the HYMN another OLDEN GOLDIE ! Love the poem for Holy Spirit Sunday ! We all need to be filled DAY BY DAY ! As Christians we ALL need the FRUIT of the SPIRIT (ALL NINE) to enable us to survive in the 21st C ~ A God Forsaking Generation ! Also each of Our Christian Churches needs the 19 Gifts of the Holy Spirit to Survive ! Currently weve got a CHRISTIAN MONARCH (but not for long !) and a CHRISTIAN PM ~ for a few more days ! BUT WHAT NEXT ..................... ?
