Forever

Lulu Boatwright

I won’t be here forever love

She always said to me

I won’t be here forever love

If you want to talk to me

I won’t be here forever love

Wish you would visit more

I won’t be here forever love

Did you know I’m 94?

I won’t be here forever love

I think it’s time to go

I won’t be here forever love

It’s something I just know

You’re not here now and you were wrong

You’re forever on my mind

You sneaked off whilst you were asleep

And left us here behind

You will be here forever love

Even though you are now dead

I knew you for more than sixty years

You’re forever in my head

Lovely tribute to a missed someone special.

May i politely suggest that you consider replacing the word 'sneaked' because it has a negative feel which is in such contrast to the affectionate feel of your writing here.

Thank you for your comments. I used the word sneaked because we didn’t find her until she’d been dead for 8 days!

She will always be with you, meories of her will come to you at the most unexpected times.
