Unraveled

Moonflower15

Uncertainty gnaws at the threads I cling to.

I tighten my grasp, but all it does is pull loose.

What I thought was a certainty, unravels at my feet.

Emotions spiral ever faster, suddenly I am submerged.

Choking, grasping, clawing for air, I am unsuccessful.

My reality waivers as I attempt to fathom a life without you.

That reality will strengthen in time, there will be somebody else who comes into you life and be with you forever.
