What if I’m worthy?
Of paintings and poetry
Picnics and pretty things
Not just empty imaginings
What if the ocean roars I’m worthy?
As I swim deep into its infinity
Embraced and drawn deep
Into a pool of love awake from sleep
What if you whispered into my ear I’m worthy?
Buried so deep it’s time to unearth me
Stretch me out across your sandy shore
And watch me unravel as you me adore
What if I was always worthy?
Waiting, wailing, burning into eternity
Until I caught my reflection in your eye
And when I saw you see me soaring high
I reached for your hand
And you heard me sigh
I’m ready to be worthy
Of paintings and poetry
Picnics and pretty things
Make me be my imaginings
Wash me away
With you
Tonight

Contrary to worthy
thinking, being popular isn't
something you recognise it's
something you earn.
That aside this is an inspired write - much enjoyed.
Thank you for your ever kind words. Being popular sounds like an endeavour doesn’t it?
He takes her hand and listens for that sigh.................
Whether deeply within, or somewhere outside of her own comfort zone, the woman can write for sure.... .... Neville
Thanks for your kind words Neville
It may not have seemed so but there was a battle within to write this one
my words are free and truly meant.. and I do not doubt you still.... N
You do not doubt me still?
correct...
I’m not sure what that means but thanks
The spirit which brought the essence of these thoughts to you is your recognition of beauty. One cannot recognise beauty until beauty is within ones self. That being said, your spiritual beauty is within all which you describe here and shared with many of us poets today.
Why how beautifully kind! 😌
Your words are deeply thought, and something for all to self experience. Many a worthy quotations you have penned.
Thanks I am always grateful of kind words 😌
