Waves

dragonsnark

Out on the waves, in the wind, on the sea

A big patch of blue with a small patch of me

Bringing the peace and the calm that I crave

Bringing me solace on each coming wave

The wind drives me onward, the tide marks my day

The billowing canvas that shows me the way

The way to new places and faces and times

Lifting my spirits and calming my mind

So I’m out on the waves, in the wind, on the sea

The Sadness behind that now let’s me be

New places and friends I can’t wait to see

Out on the waves, in the wind, on the sea

It seems that this flowed freely, and that's what's poetry is all about.

I sometimes worry that the rhymes are too strong and there is too much rhythm. I think maybe the words come out as musical lyrics.. In the past, I have written rap like lyrics and set them to music, should I post them here or would that be inappropriate?. As I said, I have little idea where this stuff comes from....
