Time Beaten Path

06/14/2019

Steps traversing time beaten path
Mind wanders into the distant past
Valley n hills once covered these lands
Mindset of wildlife foraging at large
Nostrils inhaling pine, birch or spruce
Pleasant songs of birds n cockatoos
Catching sight of humming birds' dance
Or a beautiful dainty butterfly perchance
Wild berry bushes covering the floor
Squirrels hoarding pine cones to store
Light casting shadow creating its own art
At least in memories I can relive my past
