Poppy Seeds
I was really
Doing nothing then she was there
Walking by my side wild flowers in her hair
I told her of
The lives I’ve led of yesterdays that
Made her laugh and tales of a paradise that was
She told me of a land of dreams
Of a kingdom built on poppy seeds
Where it never rains and the flowers never die
Somewhere
Way above the clouds
And maybe just a little to the right

A fine write Neville. Yep, someone wanted to know the way to Mars. I said 'Take the No.11 bus; get off at the third cloud on your right; the bus destination indicator will say 'Cuckoo Land'. lol.
Ah' Orchidee... that bloomin bus.... you could be the conductor ya now..... the frightening conductor ... that made me chuckle when I thought of it....... thanks for taking a peek and checking out the route for me..... Neville
A dream of a meeting with love lost and remembered - - - such a thing can happen when we walk amid poppy fields but no-one puts it better than thee...........
If my memory serves me correctly, this was one of those chance encounters when the notebook & pen came in handy... Bless you dear Fay ..............
