I Found Myself Thinking of You
I once found myself
Thinking of you
While my father lay dying in another room
The more
I dwell on such things
I realise that more than just a fragment of me
Died there too

We who care deeply do really die in fragments when those we love have to say goodbye - I can relate to these tender words so well my friend.
these words were some of the hardest ever to write, at least they were for me... and I can not adequately explain how grateful I am that you my friend.. and perhaps others too might be able to relate... Neville
Neville,
Oh yes...
I most definitely can relate!
It has been eight years, nine months, and seven days. It seems like just a few hours ago! Will always remember!
Thank you for sharing your most personal moments!
~Laura~
Bless you my friend, thank you for considering these words and the genuine empathy you share...

My pleasure!
A poignant and sensitive write Neville.
My insensitive version is - What ya doing thinking of me? Ya must have remembered my singing, and gone mad! heehee.
thank you orchidee.. and your singing never even crossed my mind..

MY father and I were so close, he died in 1995 and I still think of him every day. A wonderful person who is still with me as I am sure your father is with you Neville.
Yes indeed, I'm sure he is... and thank you GF60..

Sad but very meaningful, I think we can all relate on some level
You are far too kind again.... I am delighted to say..... thank you Seren...

One thinks of those that one loves, when another loved one is leaving us.
