RIDERLESS horses
07/01/2019

When in the name of Lord, the Almighty, the blood is shed
And RIDERLESS horses trample the ground
A bugle is sounded

-

Come ye, the horsemen
Show your colors
Ye come to bare
This earth of soul

The heads you seek
Are devoid of breath
As zombies now
They roam the land

Waste not your arrows,
Your plagues, your stakes
These abandoned creatures
Now, yours to take

If S/HE let humanity be birth again
Discard mold useth already
Sins etched in genes
Incurable

These words have a distinct chill.. and have clearly been chosen to age them... A fine poem that should carry a health warning.. Very much enjoyed Suresh.... Neville

A ghostly read but what a great poem - love it.

Thnx M, current events forced these words to write.

The freedom that democracy once enjoyed was forever destroyed on 9/11
The democracy by which freedom was once guaranteed has been forever destroyed by the election of Trump. We have now become a tabloid world, where truth is no longer a virtue, and thus this reality check

Yes, sins etched in genes I think, while believing we all descended from Adam and Eve. But the 'cure' is in and through Christ and His salvation to us.

          • Suresh

The rigtheous cure is annihilation of humanity, for we have undeniable proved that we are not worthy of the gift of intelligence.
There was truly a reason why we were forbade to eat the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge, but the fault lies in firstly planting it and then pointing out its existence and the warning, it's inciting - so who is really at fault.
Anyways, your beliefs are what give you strength, and so to each their own.

Thanks Suresh. Well, if a god/God planted the tree firstly, it was somehow in His plans, which St Paul concludes, and says that we cannot humanly find out all His ways and wisdom - 'His ways are past finding out', though we can know some of His ways. Maybe it's like: out of 100 things, there are 99 things we are permitted to do, but 1 thing is forbidden - but we do it!

Your poem is haunting Suresh. God gives each of us freedom to choose. He wanted not robots programmed to love him out of fixed obedience, but real lovers- mankind that chooses to love him. In that space we are free to choose non-love, evil, war, infidelity, etc...

Wow, loved this and all the comments. I am no longer human, I am just me 😉
