No longer

Ocean

I no longer feel your heart beating against mine,

As we hold each other, tightly.

I no longer feel your subtle fingers against my neck,

And your soft lips upon my cheeks.

I no longer have the butterflies,

That dance inside.

I no longer have the safety of your hand within mine,

Or the safety of your arms around my body.

We no longer have the fun we once did,

The excitement or thrill.

Everything felt so easy yet so hard,

So calm yet so rough

So simple yet so tough

I no longer think perfection is impossible,

Because looking at you had no flaws.

Because nothing is wrong,

When everything right is standing in front of you.

I no longer smell your golden hair.

As my fingers pass through it.

I no longer hear the music of your voice,

Like a calming melody.

I no longer see your smile,

That made my heart skip.

I no longer have the piece of my life,

That completed the puzzle.

And worst of all...

I no longer have you.
