Tell me what,
should I do,
in my spare time.
I am usually focused -
never anxious.
It feels like I can't,
make anything go together...
I mean rhyme.
So what do I do,
when there is nothing to do?
I read every book.
I fixed everything,
and I tightened every screw.
I need to work.
I despise the couch.
Anxiety keeps,
making me a grouch.

- Comment from author about the poem: This definately is not my best piece. That is probably the definition of this poem. Persistence is key

It might not be your best piece but it's still pretty darn good. Something we can all associate with from time to time.
Thank you my friend. I really appreciate that comment. That in itself is a real up-lifter. Again, your comment means alot.
Persistence is key
I fuss sometimes if I have not written at least something every day. But not to worry - it matures, develops, etc. Then we may write 1, 2 or 3 poems even, on other days.
Thanks for sharing ZION ~ you raise an intersting point about time ! The Richest & the Poorest man on Earth gets the same time allocation every day ~ no more & no less and you cant BUY TIME ! Its what we do with those 24 hours each day that Counts ! As single Poeple not living @ HOME (Thank GOD for Mums & Dads !) ANGELA & I are masters of & responsible for our own DESTINIES ! We are both in mid-career so we have to work & study hard ! Im responsible for my own FLAT (UK) and Angela & Ruth responsible for theirs (NZ) it all takes time. To be an ACTIVE MEMBER of a Church takes time and any other Club or Society we belong too and Friends & Family all take time ! The bottom line for ANGELA & MYSELF is that if were honest in any DAY or WEEK recently ~ WE JUST DONT HAVE ANY SPARE TIME ~ AMEN ! Remember The DEVIL finds things for IDLE HANDS to DO !
Blessings & Peace & Joy
