Holding on

Aa Harvey

Holding on

I’m trying to move in with you,

You’re breaking my heart.

I’m holding onto you for dear life,

While your tearing us apart.

All I ever wanted was the woman in the dress.

All I ever wanted was your soul.

This my love I do confess;

Hold me close and never let me go.

I have found enlightenment; I have seen her grace,

You may never understand, but I have found my place.

I’m sorry I’m not the one,

That you can depend upon.

But once upon a time I was you’re shining sun.

Now I’m nothing at all,

Except gone.
