Round one was a hit, the waking moment of a habit
Round two came fast, over before it had chance to grasp
Round three was a killer, I started to feel the pressure
Round four has just begun so I'm writing this one
Round five, I'm unsure just been knocked to the floor
Round six, I'm back up. Ready to give this all I've got
Round seven has been a blast, my fam makes it easier
Round eight I am starting to flag, can't think of how to act
Round nine has come quickly and I now feel sick
Round ten and I've made it this far I'm not giving in
Round eleven and this one has me against the rope
Round twelve is finally here and I finish with a tear
This has been a illuminating day, tomorrow is another set of rays
For this is a new boundary, I'm negotiating with Merry Jane
As I need to get back to handling this reality
So then drifting will become a pleasure, not an escape
Remembering I'm in control of my future and fate

- Comment from author about the poem: This is about every hour I've gone through today, holding back on how much I self medicate. Two months was my longest stretch and that was about 7 years ago but that was not really through choice, it was a breakdown and proving people wrong. This time it's not from out side pressure but to actually see what results I get, living life in a different way. Thanks to all the wonderful soul that have help me be even more proud to be me. I hope you all feel the same way about you, as each one of you is a hero to me. (I think that makes sense, it is getting late) Always appreciated with much peace and respect

Now that's a great rhyme my friend and always appreciate you looking in.
I'm always lookin in.................. 🙂
You must always remember that last line. You need a plaque on the wall saying
"I AM IN CONTROL OF MY FUTURE AND FATE!"
Yes today I have truly repeatedly that line in my head and soon it will just run in the back in sure.
Thank you as always my friend
