It Never Goes Away.

Tayama

Yes I'm guilty, I left, I'm the one,

What could have happened? It was all so wrong,

On the way out, you played the song,

You did light a fire in my soul baby,

Then why did I burn?

I see you with arms folded, tears streaked in black,

I never went back,

Black shirt and jeans, I stand in the mirror,

Remembering what it means,

2019, I still hear your screams,

I could never have healed you, from your terror,

Older now and gray, our age never mattered,

We did have it honey, 2009, I remember,

I hope you've stopped, you couldn't then, I pray you have,

And before you sleep at night, pray to that singing satellite,

Feathers are falling baby, like you said they would, oh so light,

You always whispered my name when we touched, I miss you so much...
