One Last Tear

Christina8

As the crickets sing their

usual nightly song

I gaze at the stars

and wonder if I belong

How beautiful it would be

If, just now, it started to rain

My tears would mix with the

dewy drops and they'd no longer stain

My inquisitive brown eyes

look to the sky once more

As I recall a sweet memory

of a passionate night on the shore

And I know I belong

there is a place for me here

This majestic place has no room for sorrow

As I wipe away one last tear

May those tears of sorrow be tears of joy in that majestic place Christina.

Most of us want to escape to that majestic place, and then reality jolts us back to what we must endure. So I feel the majic is in learning how to endure, so we can escape to that majestic place.
