Tune: Saffron Walden
(one tune to 'Just as I am')
Psalm 42 & 43 parts
***********
Why cast down, disquieted my soul?
Trust the Lord, He will make you whole
Hope you in Him, for yet I shall
Praise him, all will be well
Praise Him for help of His presence
Attune my will, my mind, my sense
Unto Him, focus, and align
I [am] His, and He is mine
He the health of my life, He be
All my salvation unto me
He my God, shall come to my aid
His Son my debt has paid
So shall I rise, for help He gives
Strength, encouragement, so each lives
To worship, serve, and glorify
The One who hears my cry

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 8.8.8.6. metre. Based on two Psalms covering the theme of being downcast, depressed, etc., and a way through spiritually. Though the word 'depressed' is not used in older Bible versions.

Though you and me have a different god thing, your first two stanzas i applaud wholeheartedly though our ideas of praise may be quite quite different.
Thanks dusk.
Great write Orchi
That's one debt I could not have faced
Thanks Andrew.
Thanks UNCLE STEVE ~ My Parents were Billy Graham Councellors and the Old Tune Billy used for the Altar Call still gives them goosepimples ! Their last BIG CRUSADE with BILLY was 1984 (I was one) in LIVERPOOL ! They persuded Cliff Barrows to let them sing *WALK ON WALK ON WITH CHRIST IN YOUR HEART .................. * my DAD said all the 40,000 in the stands (it was at ANFIELD !) joined in and waved their scarves ! Even the EVERTONIANS ! Thnaks for sharing the TUNE (fine ORGAN) and the POEM ~ to remind us to trust in the Lord at ALL TIMES
