A Silent Refrain
It would be so
Very easy to
Just let go and fall
In love with her
It would be
Far harder to refrain
Come tell me what
You know my darling
Of all those things
We do call
Love and pain
My world is full of them
How very cat like
Of you Kitten
Come teach me of poverty
And hard times romantic

Who could resist capitulating to these tender invites my friend - -that kitten knows how to set male-hearts astir. A read to remember and full of your unique style earns top marks from me again........... Fay
THank you my friend... and muchly so... Neville
Methinks you do not need teaching. However a refresher course can be so invigorating.
Absolutely and do you know what... as well as expressing my thanks to ya.. I have to admit I actually did laugh out loud my friend... a tonic indeed, cheers...... Neville
Your words are very feline indeed!
(Yes you are right o hid a compliment in there!)
I am smiling big because I like what you left here......... Neville
Even with the typo... why does I come out as o?
You’re welcome
You are a cool cat & one day.. I hope you realise that...
There's nothing like a good purr in poetry and you stroked it out perfectly. Good work.
Ta Kevin sir and much more meaningfully meant, but I gotta dash to the vet.... honest.. 🙂
Ooooh!
Cheers Andrew..
This is a great read and I thank you for sharing this fine piece with us today!
Nowt but a pleasure and thank you Christina
Did she sing? Cat-like? Meeoowwooo! A fine write Neville.
she purred before scratching me.. thanks orchidee
Timing is so critical to a relationship. Too soon or too late can bring disaster. Some fall at first sight, others only after years of being in contact. I've seen successful marriages after many years together and some after only weeks.
Do the words "feline" and "felon" derive from the same root? What do "Cats" know of poverty and hard times? Seems they live in someone's lap of luxury. The urge is irresistable, the restraint torturous. There is no answer to this age old quandary. Just go with the flow. Nice poem. Made me think.- Phil A.
Timing is important period.... which is why I'm going to thank you now and mean it.... cheers, Neville
Some things are better left unlearned, but heartache is a pseudonym for romance, and maybe poverty and hard times too.
it seems I am so transparent, you can see write through me.... thank you my friend..... Neville

Far too kind, but thank you L.... N
Good emotive write Neville, to go forward in love or to refrain is a question that we have all probably asked at some point in our lives - is there an answer?
Not a single straightforward answer, that's for sure.... thank you sir for visiting these words and your encouraging comment and relevant question..... Neville
Nicely written, a very sensitive poem
