Around and around she went,
Food in her hands,
Looking for a customer,
But she could not see them.
Those who had ordered the food
Looked at her
But didn’t indicate
That the food was theirs.
So around she went again,
But still the customer said nothing.
Why do people do this?
The young lady was doing her best,
But life can be so hard,
So hard to deal with,
When dealing with ignorant people.

- Comment from author about the poem: This happened in the coffee bar that we go to, the waitress had the food but could not find the customer, the customer saw her but did not indicate that the food was theirs.

Don't ya just love 'em, them ignorant folk, making life harder for other people? Doh! Sometimes I don't wish misfortune on many people, but...…. Patience, Orchi!
I was flabbergasted that the people whose food it was didn't just indicate where they were. The are other words for people like this but I do not want to upset Fido.
Yep, i play tricks on them.... at the checkout, those who cant put the marker down at the end of their shopping.... purposely i leave a small space.... put the marker down at the end of my shopping and then look the other way... i'm nasty in checkouts...... i have other dirty tricks too.
That sounds like a plan to me.
I used to go to Tesco's until about four years ago, they had a complete change round and I struggled to find anything, even the staff did not know where things were. On there checkout slip were the words "How did we do today?" I told them in no uncertain terms and haven't been back since.
there's nowt as strange as folk ....
Very true Neville.
Yes, M&S did it too - and Boots. Changed the stock around, then laughed up their sleeves. Heehee, customers can't find what they want!
I helped form M&S in 1066 - they're fuddy duddies. Was you there too?
Mind full not mindful, this world can have you focused on just your own world of thoughts.
Great read of the ignorance in ignorant
Thank you Dan, much appreciated.
Folk find all sorts of reasons to be ignorant and act innocent - - I know some diners like this my friend.....
There seem to be a few of them around Fay.
Andy,
Reading your poem, one phrase that I often use comes to mind...
“What are you thinking?!”
I enjoyed the video!
Thank you for sharing!
My love to Joyce and to you.
~Laura~
Thank you Laura.
"COMMON DECENCY " it used to mean something ...
think of that waitress that's only trying to survive, think of those a**ho**s that shouldn't be around
Common decency seems to have gone the same way as respect these days Suresh.
