Talk With The Reaper

PoeticBiscuit

The reaper came to visit today and we had a pleasant talk,

He asked if I was ready to take my final walk,

I was honest and I told him I had my doubts,

I just had to ask if there was any other way out,

He said he understood my worries but this was the only way,

He said we couldn’t appreciate the colors without a little grey.

I was confused so I asked what he was trying to say,

He said another metaphor: because we have the night it makes us like the day.

He told me without death we’d have no motivation,

Cause we couldn’t enjoy the journey without a final destination.

I nodded with understanding and thanked him for his time,

He told me he’d be back soon but for now it’d be goodbye.

Outstandingly done, two in a row. I'll have to see what other treasure you are holding.

    Thank you

I hope he does not come back too soon otherwise we would be deprived of your wonderful words.

You and me both! I have plenty more words to write.
