Heat

FineB

My brows perspire,

I am overcome by the heat,

My body is a fountain of sweat

I endure the hell of travelling on the Underground without access to any seat.

Tossing and turning in my bed at night,

My mind is working overtime with fantasies and summertime dreams,

Heat turns me into an insomniac,

I am envisaging hot days away in Brighton, riding the carousel, eating 99 flake ice creams.

My hair is unkempt and frizzy,

The heat has transformed it into an uncontrollable mess,

Summer sunshine and heat has its advantages,

My sunny wardrobe gets an airing along with my favourite floral dtess.

As the orbiting around the sun the distance as we revolve either extend away or from it just like right now we are more closer to the sun than we have ben all year. If you were on the equater now you'll probable sizzle to death with the correct equipment to find some type of shelter. The orbiting of any planet or star is mainly controlleed by the forces of gravity. That gravity can change in to many dimensions on every planet in our solor system, Your expression of heat leaves me to wonder how would we survive if our planet Earth was to keep heating up until we are succumbed to confronting not just the heat, but the cold resides in the same realm. Good work, FineB. Keep them coming...

Even in America, it's not super bad but it's bad enough, depending on where you live. Hope relief is in sight for you! Christina

Good write and so true. I just don't like the heat as I never fell cold, even in the winter I where short sleeved shirts and I start moaning when the temperature creeps above 15 C.
MInd you those days of my youth in Margate and Broadstairs seemed to be fine, that was a very long time ago.
