Jam

Jabberwocky

I’m done with jam tomorrow

I want some jam today

Words of regret and sorrow

Are all you have to say

I bring you fresh each morning

Good and clean baked bread

And you sigh sadly meaning

I’ll have no jam to spread

I’m done with jam tomorrow

Still then I won’t be fed

Times not mine to borrow

I want jam before I’m dead.

what a nice little rhyming whimsey we have here.. nicely penned from start to end....

I fancy some marmalade & strong cheddar cheese on crusty bread....
