Im blessed to be in NEW ZEALAND one of the most ........
Beautiful Countries in the World and it now 7pm ~ so
My SUNDAY is almost over ! But I*ve made the most of it !
Worshipping ~ Walking ~ Whooshing through the Water !
Wondering how you all are in the UK ~ USA ~ Africa ~
India ~ Europe ~ Asia ~ Australia etc etc ? Have you ......

Certainly, what a wonderful world it is 8:45 am here in the UK, I have been up for three hours and it is a wonderful morning, as are every mornings that I awake.
I suppose I had better get ready for Church (yes I still go as I enjoy the singing).

WOW UNCLE ANDY - Thanks for your encouraging comment ! WOW up three hours already to capture the incandecent beauty of English Summer / Autumn Mornings ~ its the Middle of Winter here but being sub-Tropical it is warm enough for sailing in the Bay but cool enough for Roast NZ Lamb for Dinner with Ruths Family - God is good ! Ruth & I go to Church for a Variety of reasons the Music sure is one. Some Sundays (like today) we go to the Catholic Cathedral and we are lifted up to Heaven as soon as we enter its Portals. Im sure there are other reasons too for You. People will want to chat about Your Beloved Joyce and there is always a Fellowship Time for Coffee & Chat ! People are always intersted in Ruth & I and what we are doing in Auckland and are we enjoying it etc etc. We all need FELLOWSHIP and in our experience the Church is one of he best providers - We are ALL FAMILY ! Im going to Wellington next week for a Seminar on Acupuncture ! Aussies & Kiwis are into Alternative Medicine some of which like Chiropractice & Reflexology & Acupunture impinge on my Territory ! Brian in continuing his research into Coastal Erosion on the East Coast of England.

Thanks FAY - Having had such a wonderful Sunday I just wanted to share it with everyone ! Pleased your enjoyed it ! Its now 8:30am Monday here and Im off to work soon - Clinic & 11am. Im going to Wellington on Tuesday for a few days for a Conference on Acupuncture - important over here ! Lots of Polynesians & Asiatics !

Just like the garden of Eden God has provided every thing we need for equitable Human existance. He created H Sapiens capable of caring for it but we havn*t and are now reaping the consequences ! Global Warming and a very polluted Atmosphere - Hydrosphere & Lithosphere. The fault lies wih Man not God ! Is it too late to reverse the DAMAGE ?

Yes, it could be a WONDERFUL WORLD, if every one of us want it.
And I think to myself, what's stopping us.....
There is NOTHING acctually stopping it SURESH - Its MANS inhumanity to MAN and HUMAN GREED that gets in the way of the Brotherhood of Man & Equality. We see the effect all over the World ! If 10% of Rich Humans were not consuming (and hoarding) 75% of the Worlds Goods there would be enough & to spare. Fraternity & Equality begins in our own Families & Communities and can spread to Our Country & the World. But with a Racist & Bigot in charge of the USA what hope have other Countries got ? If we dont get our act together soon the World will end in Flames. The resources are there but shared very very unequally !

I know you don't mean it that way, but unfortunately we are geared to think of MAN, as still the superior person, and maybe that's the reason it has been corrupted by MAN.
If we introduce WOMAN in all equations, the world may become more compassionate.

My wish is that this is a wonderful world in everybodies heart. The ill, the underpriveleged, the handicapped, the enslaved, the imprisoned and especially those who suffer from famine and hurricane etc who the omnipotent god has decided are beneath his/her/it's goodwill.
Come on DA - Angela here - You cannot blame GOD ! How long would you last on Mars or Venus in your Birthday Suit ? Gods blessings on Planet Earth (even in its current State - due to Man NOT God) are infinite ! Abundant liquid water - an ambient temperature 24/7 of 16C (61F) - low background radiation & UV - fertile soil and a fabulous MOON ! Infinite free Energy from the Sun and fabulous CYCLES (Water - carbon - nitrogen - oxygen etc) to keep everything moving through the system ! I studied ECOLOGY as part of my Biological Sciences Degree for Physiotherapy and Planet Earth is (I believe) unique in our Galaxy. Also (because I am a committed Christian) I believe GOD (not chance) created it to be that way ! The problem lies with man who has a responsibility to *Care for Planet Earth !* The plights of some of the Human Race are due to Mans inhumanity to Man not GOD. The abundance of the EARTH supports the flora & fauna which outnumber Humans Thousands to One so it could easily feed 15 Billion Humans if the food was properly distributed and not wasted ! Also if there were not Political Boundaries preventing the movement of food & equipment etc. Also Man is acctually destroying the Environment on which we all depend. The blame lies not with God who created a perfect World but man who turned it into an imperfect one !
I rest my case we have much to answer for !

Your points are well put Angela, but the christian god who many worship, is a cruel god and not the benevolent spirit i was led to believe in as a child. Needless to say i no longer see 'god' in that image.
So i will differ with you on many points... however i am far from an atheist. My argument is largely with the way christianity is taught and practiced in the established churches.
Get out clause No 7 (or catch 22) is.... If man was created in god's image (as is taught in christianity) how can anything man does be classed as wrongdoing?

For me too Sunday is always the best day of the week ~ but I do envy your opportunity to Sail in Auckland Bay every Sunday afternoon. I hope you dont find Essex (UK) too dull when I drag you back screaming in October (broma ?). When you are in Conference in Wellington next week I will be revisiting the Land erosion sites on the East Coast of England. More Caravans & Bungalows have fallen into the Sea ~ so so sad !

Ah yes, how wonderful it is. We should wake up every morning grateful to still have our health. Because not everyone does. We should be grateful for the things we have because some people have nothing. We should be grateful for our freedom because many countries do not have any. We should all wake up and say to ourselves each morning, 'What a wonderful world'. This was a great piece - a true reflective write that should make us look at the good in this world.
