Transforming Times

orchidee

Tune: Leibster Jesu

('Dearest Jesu, we are here')

Based on Matthew 17 v.1-9 parts

*******

Lord, upon the holy mount

Revealed was your inner light's fount

Brighter than all human light

Shown there to the disciples sight

Peter, James, and John did there share

In a view, glimpse of glory rare

Moses and Elijah too

Did there sure their presence endue

Talking with the Lord, for He

Would a ransom for sinners be

Help us Lord, through hill and valley

To focus, and your glory see

As you were transfigured then

So a hope to inspire all men (mankind)

For you came to change us too

E'er your image in us renew

Though we may wish in mounts to stay

Yet you present  with us each day

High and low, through good and ill

What we may face, you are there still

Guide, empower, help us change

By your Spirit, this be the range

Transformed to image of your Son

Whole and perfect, the holy one
