My Boy

SerenWise

There's a secret enclosed within his lips

And to liberate it, I must steal a kiss,

His body is music; with fine-tuned skin

Encasing the sinew and beauty within.

Clavicles hollow, in which there might grow

The seedlings of hope, of all our tomorrows;

There are silver hairs, though he's too young for grey -

I find new things to love about him every day.
