Living With an Internal War

Amykate

This morning I put on my war paint

And headed out the door

I dodged bullets from their eyes

The grenades from their mouths

I swam in the lake of poison

And cried in the artillery rain

Tonight I take off my war paint

And climb back into bed

I’ll get little sleep

And be ready for it again

Standing up to bullies is the way to be as all bullies are cowards.
