Rapunzel

SerenWise

Storm clouds gather in twilight skies;

Raindrops bruise the summer flowers,

A white flag from my window flies,

Atop my prison - the tallest tower.

White is the emblem of surrender,

For good or bad, the war will cease;

I can choose to be my own defender,

My banner is the colour of peace.
