Trapped Dove

PoeticBiscuit

Snow White dove trapped in a cage,

Within a basement, no sun, only shade.

Flickers of sunlight in tiny little rays,

The dove only knows darkness not the beautiful day.

Left here to wither, gracefully dying,

Slowly forgetting the feeling of flying.

Till one day a young girl with a wonderful heart,

Took the lock off the cage and broke it apart,

Opened the window and out went the dove,

Sometimes all we need is just a little bit of love.

That’s what I intend to do. Let the beat of her heart be the rhythm of my wings.

      Nicely penned my friend.........

So very true. Caging a beautiful thing/lover stops it being what it was. And then complaints and cruelty follow. Control freak syndrome.

Very well versed here. You are producing truly excellent pieces Biscuit.
