Eating to Save the Earth.

Yes I eat beef,

As much as I can.

I only do it

To rid the earth

Of  the flatulent ruminants.

Once I have protected the earth

By eating all those nasty cows

I will then start on the sheep.

Who says I am doing nothing

To save the earth

From global warming!

  • Comment from author about the poem: They keep on about cutting down beef production as the cattle produce so much gas so I am doing my bit to get the cattle occupation lower. (They don't want to stop fracking which is producing much more methane than the cattle do.)

        Ohhhh UNCLE ANDY you really are a carnivore ! If more people were Veggie we couldproduce much more food per acre and *FEED THE WORLD* Joking aside we are all part & parcel of the ecosystem so we can all help to save the Earth at least fir the next 50 years while Brian & I are still alive ! Our live expectancies (acording to the Gerantology test we have had done are BRIAN 90 (2073) and ME 92 (2080) ! So we hope *The Balloon does not go UP" until 2100 at the earliest - SAVE THE EARTH for US and our Children & Grandchildren ! Love the music - Brian is giving talks to Seniors on Sinatra !

          We can feed the world anyway but those with the power and the money want to keep it all for themselves. (Sorry, rant over, I feel strongly about this!)
          I am an omnivore and eat and drink all in moderation but I did have a wonderful rib-eye steak last night with chips and salad washed down with a glass or two of Rioja.
