ANGELA & BRIAN

PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW ~ AMEN

GOD IS WITH US ~ Let us Celebrate !

Let us celebrate His Presence continuously

Let us praise His Goodness all our days

Let us proclaim His Loving Concern for all Mankind !

Let us celebrate His Presence continually

How compassionate Our God is to all His Creation

Let us proclaim His Loving Concern for all Mankind

God understands the weaknesses & frailty of all Mankind !

How compassionate Our God is to all his Creation

He gently restores those who have fallen

God understands the weaknesses & frailty of all Mankind

He sustains those who waver in weakness !

He gently restores those who have fallen

Let us praise his Goodness all our days

He sustains those who waver in weakness

GOD IS WITH US ~ Let us Celebrate ~ AMEN !

This POEM is specially for SUNDAY and is a collaboration between

BRIAN and I !  Repetition is important i Classical Poetry for emphasis

and the Pantoum is an excellent example ~ every line is repeated !

Live 2 & 4 in verse ONE becom lines 1 & 3 in verse so on ~ until you

decide what is to be tha final Quatrain.  In this Quatrain line 2 is line 3

from Verse ONE and line 4 is line 1 form Verse ONE. This ensures  all

lines are repeated and the FIRST and the LAST lines of the Poem are

identical. Pantoums are very satisfying to compose and TWO heads

are better than ONE !  Love to ALL ~ Angela & Brian ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿงก

Thanks ANDREW ~ It is a good thing for all of us to acknowledge the existence of god. *Those that come to god must believe that he exists ~ and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him ~ amen !*

You knew I'd like this, I say, you knew I'd like it.... Note the repetition here! heehee.

HI UNCLE STEVE ~ Thanks for a cheeky response ! Pleased you did like it ~ as you are always trying (successfully !) to raise the Spiritual Tone of MPS. You are a great hymnologist and hymns are notorious for their repetition and choruses etc. TAIZE is a good example of repetetive praise ~ OK ! The same line sung 20 times in 5 different European languages (Francais - Deutsch - Espanol - Italliano & English !)

Blessings & Joy to You & Happy Hound

Thanks B&A. I don't mind repetition, if it's not too bland. Nothing much worse than some endless 'Choruses' which don't say a lot.

Ouch! at using the possessive term 'our' god. God is god period and nobodies possession singular or plural. God is not a choice.

God is with us all for ever though there are those who it appears wish to use gods name to proclaim a 'holier than thou' presence among us by spouting quasi religious mumbo-jumbo on MPS. Jesus was 'of the people, for the people' to use a modern day phrase not an elitist.

Could not find the word 'phantoum' in any online dictionary.

There is some truth in what you say DA ! Jesus was in fact a very Humble & Normal Man ! He had no reputation for himself except in the role of an Itinerant Preacher of Righteousness for 3 years (30 to 33). He was poor and rejected by his own people. He had little Education and worked with hid Dad as a Carpenter. He never owned a Horse - wrote a book - owned a House or got married - in essence a very Ordinary Man and died a Criminals Death. However when he taught us to pray he said *When you pray say - our Father etc* . In following his example - when we repeat the Lords Prayer we are NOT claiming GOD as our own - but indicating that we BELONG to God - we are his Children ! It is not MUMBO JUMBO it is Biblical Truth ~ AMEN
The word is PANTOUM and should be described as form of Classical Poetry. Try GOOGLING it OK !

Ah but 'our father' is in a different context and has a common noun. I have absolutely no problem with that. 'Our' god implies either 1) a god - one of many - but the one you have chosen... yes ridiculous but literally that's one implication. or 2) possessive and obviously the supreme cannot be possessed by a mortal. Anyways, glad u took it as it was meant.
Mumbo jumbo was not referring to your writing but others on mps.
I don't use google search to avoid the adverts it lumbers us with so i'm pleased you cleared that up for me.

My God is there but it is now not the god that Christianity says is so good and helps all. Been there but that god does not help Joyce or me find a better place for her to be. All her long life she has praised and prayed to the Christian god but all that happens is she is pulled into the world of dementia which is so awful, she has never done wrong, helped everybody and this ******* dementia is how she is rewarded!!

Angela here (7:30pm - Monday - in NZ). All our experiences are different UNCLE ANDY and they do affect our relationship with our Friends - Family and with GOD. As a PHYSIO I see some tragic cases of Young Married Couples where the Husband (or Wife) is involved in a Car Accident which results not only in loss of Mobility but also Brain Damage. In the UK we work closely with Headway for rehabilitation. For those who are Committed Christians their response is twofold 1. Why has GOD allowed this life changing scenario to happen to my HUSBAND (or WIFE) ? and 2. If it wasnt for PRAYER and the support of my CHURCH FAMILY I could not have coped etc. Brian has an incidence of one His Worship Leaders whose Wife has increasing demnetia. Brian tells me Graham is coping well but the JOY has gone out of His life. The OT and NT Saints were not immune from Suffering & Death (Joseph - Job - Jeremiah - John the Baptist - Peter & Paul - James the Brother of John etc etc) but I agree with YOU we always question (in respect of Commited Christians) Why Me Lord why My Loved One ? And it does blur our relationship with God. I am a qualified Bereavment Councellor in the Church and in the Community and it is very very draining on my Spiritual Resources even though I am one step removed ! Brian is very anxious for me from a distance of over 11k miles ! He knows I am safe SAILING because we are in large craft but (in his protectiveness !) he has forbidden Bungee Jumping and Canyoning (White Water Rafting) etc because he knows I am such a daredevil and he wants to see me walk down the Aisle - next Year - not be pushed. We are both fully aware that as Christians we are not immune
from Pain & Suffering but its very difficult to understand (Why me Lord ?) and very very hard to bear ! Thanks for caring & sharing - You are always an inspiration to us both - AMEN !

                  Blessings to YOU & JOYCE
