Psalm 136

O give thanks to the LORD
He is good, true His word
His mercy endures for ever
His supplies fail never
He God of gods, o'er all
Does hear us when we call
He Lord of lords, and King of kings
Him all creation sings
He alone does great things
Wonders to pass He brings
By wisdom he the heavens made
They all abide firm, staid
He stretched out earth above
The waters in His love
Man's habitation here below
Yet God here may we know
He did make the great lights
They glorious to our sights
He made the sun to rule by day
Ordained in His wise way
And moon and star to rule
By night, they do not stall
But e'er appear, His ordaining
They to Him glory bring
He smote Eygpt's firstborn
His enemies were shorn
He brought His people Israel
Out from there, they not fall
With strong hand, stretched out arm
Divides Red Sea, no harm
For Israel they did pass safe o'er
On dry land to far shore
But Egypt He o'erthrew
Death at Read Sea they knew
He led Israel through wilderness
Smote great kings, they confess
Amorite king Sihon
Bashan's King Og too gone
Israel did their land inherit
As in God's purpose fit
Israel His servant be
The Lord did recall, see
Their lowly state, He them redeemed
On them His face shone, beamed
Rescued from enemies
Gives food to all flesh, pleas
He does hear, God of heaven, just, fair
His mercy endures e'er
