Tune: Belmont
(slower tune to:'There is a fountain filled with blood')
Psalm 69 v.13-18
**********
My prayer, O LORD, si unto you
I troubles not a few
Have, but hear me, accept me here
And to my help draw near
In your great mercies multitude
Let me here be renewed
In the truth of your salvation
Which reaches each nation
Deliver me out of the mire
Let me not sink, it dire
Deliver me from those who hate
Me, leave me not to fate
From the deep waters rescue me
Let water-flood not be
That which o'ercomes me, nor the deep
Swallow, nor my soul keep
Let me not fall into the pit
To consume me each whit
But hear me LORD, loving-kindly
And good you are to me
Have mercy, to me your face turn
Your sheep are your concern
Draw near to my soul, deliver
Quickly your help confer

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 8.6.8.6. metre. There is a livelier tune to the original hymn, called 'Cleansing Fountain'.

I told you what pills to take, what more do you need, want or ask for...
Oh, I know, but I got a wrong prescription - a load of blue pills! Oohh!
blue pills are fine.. just take a handful...
I will hasten to take them. Will they help me?
no but they might help the rest of us...
Good one Orchi.
Thanks Gold.
