just one more dancer

dusk arising

Don't ask me for anymore answers
When you talk about what's gone wrong
I can't expect to bring you laughter
I'm here to stop you falling down

Pained expression reveals you're broken
Wooden movements, no motivation
A  consequence of words unspoken
The thing you love has turned and gone.

             Used to walk so tall
             So self assured
             Feeling cheated now
             Still can't believe she could

Questions rattle round an empty bedroom
Her love eludes you down the hall
Material gains that can't console you
Worth striving for at all?

No i can't give you anymore answers
What's gone is lost and plain to see
And you'll become just one more dancer
Though not so young, nor fancy free.

this could easily have been written for my brother.... not by me tho... how strange is that.... fine words DA and true..... Neville

A brotherly piece of comfort in poetic style and full of common sense to get motivation on moving again..... good read D.A. for breakups come heavy to some.

Wonderful piece of poetry for your brother, I hope all is well with him now.
